Radio equipment needs certification where you live (FCC, CE, UKCA, ISED, Anatel). Some devices are uncertified or restricted in Brazil. Buyers are responsible for their local law.
- Bring along
- A phone and the correct regional radio variant.
- Keep in mind
- Check whether the selected package includes a battery.

What’s published
Elecrow's own repo/PDFs give a GPIO pinout table, block diagram, and enclosure 3D model, but no schematic, PCB source, or BOM; firmware is the open Meshtastic project, not Elecrow's own.

Verified all Elecrow PDFs (200) and pulled text with pdftotext: the 'datasheet' PDF has a block diagram plus a real GPIO/SX1262 pin table (sec. 5.3-5.4), not a schematic. The maker's own GitHub repo (Elecrow-RD, confirmed via gh api) contains only a 3D STEP enclosure model, duplicate PDFs, and Home-Assistant YAML examples — no schematic/PCB/Gerbers/BOM. meshtastic/firmware's variant.h/pins_arduino.h (confirmed via gh api tree) are pinout headers for the community Meshtastic build, not hardware files, per task guidance, so it is listed as firmware only and not counted toward hardware openness.

What still needs checking
- The SH1106 driver is supported by the datasheet, wiki and upstream configuration; the store’s “SSH1106” spelling is inconsistent.
- Do not interpret location sharing in app copy as an onboard GNSS receiver. The reviewed upstream target disables GPS; no built-in receiver was documented.
- Store/manual and datasheet disagree on dimensions, mass, enclosure material and environmental limits. Battery/antenna measurement scope also differs; confirm the shipped revision.
- The store’s 217 mA “maximum” conflicts with the datasheet’s 260 mA all-functions condition. These are maker figures, not measured runtime.
- The maker Wi-Fi table includes 802.11a while specifying 2.4 GHz; no 5 GHz capability is claimed here.
- Battery connector pitch/polarity and replacement-cell part number remain unverified. This profile describes the battery-equipped model; confirm the chosen package.
- Power-button behavior differs across manual/datasheet; match instructions to installed firmware. MeshCore support was not verified.
