What’s inside
Closed designRaspberry Pi Foundation has never released Pi 5 mainboard schematics, only a mechanical drawing; a small unofficial reverse-engineered KiCad project covers isolated circuits only.

Research notes Verified via WebSearch (Raspberry Pi forum threads state there are no plans to release Pi 5 schematics) and gh api on Knio/rpi5re: repo has .kicad_sch/.kicad_pcb but its minimal README and included images (HDMI pins, PMIC) indicate partial reverse-engineering of specific nets, not a full-board schematic. BCM2712 has no public datasheet.

What still needs checking Confirm the selected RAM option, cooler clearance and the power requirements of the complete peripheral set. The maker’s current Pi 5 hardware index links mechanical/STEP files; a complete Pi 5 board schematic was not identified in this review.

Source & revision notes Maker listing checked Sep 15, 2026. Detailed documentation reviewed Sep 16, 2026. Not hands-on tested.
Price is a dated listing; confirm with the maker.
The maker documents multiple RAM configurations; no single RAM size or price is assumed. PCIe storage and PoE need separate hardware.
Raspberry Pi recommends its 27 W supply and active cooling for sustained performance. A Pi 4 case is not a Pi 5 case; peripheral software still needs its own compatibility check.
Exact-model setup, electrical limits and revision resources were reviewed on 2026-09-16. Detailed rows retain their primary sources; listed prices keep the earlier check date.
Amazon link points at the listing the 2026-09-17 research identified as official or authorised; this category is full of clone hardware, so never swap it for a search result.
Source review only. No workload, thermal, storage or peripheral compatibility tests were performed.
