In the bag
Mini-KVM, quickstart, carry bag and extension-pin cap.
Video cable
0.3 m HDMI male-to-male.
USB cables
0.3 m C-to-A with A-female/C-male adapter; 1.5 m C-to-C with C-female/A-male adapter.

Connect and use

9
Host side
Orange USB-C side → host with the 1.5 m cable; install Openterface first.
Target side
Black USB-C → target USB; target video → HDMI input. Target needs no Openterface app.
Video limit
Up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz input; capture up to 1920 × 1080 at 30 Hz.
Audio
Captures embedded HDMI audio.
Power
USB power can come from either side. Use a dedicated supply for low-power targets such as Raspberry Pi.
Optional USB devices
Connection guide limits peripherals to 1.5 W and recommends externally powered hubs.
File transfer
The switchable USB-A port moves an attached drive between host and target.
Revision-specific control
USB-port switching through software needs hardware v1.9 or newer.
Practical limit
Some older BIOS implementations do not recognize the internal USB hub.

Software and design files

4
Host downloads
Official apps for macOS, Windows, Linux and Android; select the host platform on the download page.
Firmware troubleshooting
The FAQ directs capture-firmware recovery to the QT releases. Follow the matching release instructions.
Hardware source
Schematics/design repository uses CERN-OHL-S-2.0; its documentation is declared CC BY-SA 4.0.
Useful outcome
A nearby laptop can provide the console for a headless SBC or mini-PC without a network KVM.
What still needs checking
  • The datasheet calls port ② a host connection; the dedicated connection guide identifies it as target keyboard/mouse output. This profile follows the connection guide.
  • The toolkit SKU does not establish the shipped PCB revision or capture firmware. Record both before publishing a tested setup.
  • The site navigation advertises an iPadOS app, while the dedicated app page lists four other platforms. iPad host requirements remain unverified here.
  • No exact recovery binary, universal BIOS compatibility, measured latency or adapter compatibility was tested.
  • Repository documentation has a stated CC BY-SA license; the scope of any selected product photo still needs an asset-level record. The media index includes third-party content.
  • Price, regional fulfillment and current checkout stock remain unverified.
