Seeed XIAO ESP32-C3 Add Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to a project for the price of a coffee.
Build & code ESP32-C3 Budget Wi-Fi
Bring along USB-C cable, the supplied antenna, and firmware you write.
Keep in mind Single core, four ADC pins and no on-board antenna — it is cheap because it is minimal.

What’s published
Schematics publishedSeeed publishes the schematic PDF and chip datasheet for the XIAO ESP32C3; the related GitHub repo has only a footprint/pinout library, not the module's own PCB source.
Source 1 git clone https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/OSHW-XIAO-Series.git
Research notes Seeed-Studio/OSHW-XIAO-Series contains a KiCad footprint/symbol library for using the XIAO module as a component in other designs, not the XIAO board's own internal schematic/PCB source, so overall openness is 'schematics' rather than 'open-hardware'.

Source & revision notes Maker listing checked Sep 18, 2026. Detailed documentation reviewed Sep 18, 2026. Not hands-on tested.
Price is a dated listing; confirm with the maker.
The maker quotes deep sleep as 44 µA in the specification table and about 43 µA in the feature list on the same page. Both are typical values for the bare board.
The board is Grove Shield compatible, but the maker notes the SWD spring contacts on the Seeeduino XIAO Expansion board are not compatible with it.
Wi-Fi range depends on fitting the supplied external antenna; there is no usable on-board antenna substitute.
Deep sleep is quoted twice on the maker's page with slightly different numbers (44 µA and about 43 µA). Both are recorded above.
Power figures are stated at a 3.8 V battery input, not at 5 V over USB.
