Bring along
USB power; matching controller wiring only when integrating into a larger build.
Keep in mind
Wi-Fi is optional; model performance must be checked with your actual objects.

What’s published

Open firmware

DFRobot publishes the HUSKYLENS 2 Arduino/Python library on GitHub and a mechanical STEP 3D model, but no schematic, PCB source, or BOM.

Research notes

Fetched wiki.dfrobot.com/sen0638/ Resources section directly (200): it lists an SVG, an 'STP Files' zip (verified 200, actual STEP 3D model, not a schematic), an Arduino/Python library zip, and the DFRobot_HuskylensV2 GitHub repo (verified via gh api, MIT license). Also checked the three wiki.dfrobot.com/sen0638/docs sub-pages given in known_links (22599/22617/22601, all HTTP 200) — they are getting-started/self-learning/power-board wiring tutorials with embedded wiring diagrams, not schematics or dimensioned pinout drawings, so not cited as files. No Gerbers/KiCad/schematic PDF/BOM found anywhere on the wiki.

Every link checked 2026-09-27.

Programming and reusable models

4
Controller examples
Official wiki provides Arduino, micro:bit and UNIHIKER examples and libraries
Custom object learning
Capture multiple views with Self-Learning Classifier; name learned IDs and adjust the threshold
Exportable setup
Export stores learned parameters/IDs/names; copy paired .json and .bin files over USB
Reusing a model
Import into another HUSKYLENS 2, then verify its recognition and parameters
What still needs checking
  • Wi-Fi, alternate lenses, controller boards, USB power/data cables and microSD are not all part of the listed sensor package; select required accessories explicitly.
  • A learned model’s confidence output is not independently validated accuracy. Lighting, framing and object variation must be tested for each shared build.
  • Do not assume UNO R4 compatibility from an older UNO example; use the exact documented controller, library and wiring combination.
  • Model Hub and advanced cloud/LLM feature availability were not verified. The proposal relies on documented local classifier behavior.
  • Price remains null. A current purchase page was verified; checkout stock, delivery region and product-media reuse permission remain unresolved.
